SfRBM 2024 Annual Meeting
KDS followed the 'original trilogy' to Savannah, Georgia for SfRBM's Annual Meeting in November. Abhi, Dalia, and Mia ALL won abstract/travel awards, and Abhi stole the show with a podium presentation and a featured poster! We can still smell the pralines!
2024 MitoMetabLab Adventure
The team returned to the trees for another summer of laughs, encouragement, and team-building. There is never a dull moment with this crew!
2024 Graduation Ceremonies
A toast to another successful term filled with hard work, new discoveries, and for another group of grads, the start of a new chapter! 2024 marked a very special convocation season, as November saw MitoMetabLab's first MSc graduate cross the stage.

2023 Holiday Season
Team MitoMetabLab's 2nd Annual Non-Denominational but undoubtedly Christmas-flavored Winter Holiday Celebration. Snacks, songs, and a new tradition (the trainee White Elephant gift exchange) was established!
This holiday also marked the first Time for Science to Shine @ Queen's celebration, hosted by the Translational Institute of Medicine (TIME). KDS and MML graduate students were in attendance celebrating with TIME faculty, TMED students and members of the Queen's Department of Medicine.
Christmas came early for MitoMetabLab and the gift was its first PhD student! Mia delivered a stellar 'mini-MSc' defence and will commence PhD studies in the Translational Medicine Graduate Program in January 2024!
2023 SfRBM-SfRRI Annual Meeting
KDS and Mia journeyed to Punta del Este, Uruguay in November to attend the 2023 SfRBM Annual Meeting. The southernmost point in all of Uruguay offered great science, spectacular views, good eats, and was a fantastic adventure!
